Psalm 5
Peshitta Holy Bible Translated Par ▾
Give ear to my words, LORD JEHOVAH, and consider my meditation.

Give ear to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, because it is to you that I pray.

LORD JEHOVAH, at dawn you will hear my voice and at dawn I shall be ready and shall appear before you.

Because you are God, and desire no evil, and no evil one will dwell with you.

Neither will the proud stand before your eyes; you have hated all workers of falsehood.

And you will destroy those who speak lies; and the man who sheds blood and the deceiver, LORD JEHOVAH will reject.

And I shall enter your house in the multitude of your kindness and I shall worship in the temple of your Holiness.

In your awe, lead me, LORD JEHOVAH, and in your righteousness straighten your road in front of me, because of my enemies

Because there is no righteousness in their mouths, but evil is within them, and their throats are like opened tombs and their tongues subvert.

God will condemn them; they will fall from their counsels, and in the multitude of their evils cast them out, because they have provoked you.

All who hope in you will rejoice, and to eternity they will praise you, and you will dwell in them, and all who love your name will be strengthened in you.

Because you will bless the righteous ones, LORD JEHOVAH; like an acceptable shield you will cover me.
