Ephesians 6
Berean Literal Bible

Children and Parents
(Deuteronomy 6:20-25)

1Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2“Honor your Father and mother,” which is the first commandment with a promise, 3“that it may be well with you and you will be long-lived upon the earth.”a

4And fathers, do not provoke your children, but bring them up in the discipline and admonition of the Lord.

Slaves and Masters
(1 Timothy 6:1-2)

5Slaves, obey the earthly masters with fear and trembling, in sincerity of your heart as to Christ, 6not with eye-service as men-pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, 7rendering service with good will as to the Lord and not to men, 8knowing that each one, whatever good he might have done, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether he is slave or free.

9And masters do the same things toward them, giving up threatening, knowing that also their master and yours is in the heavens, and there is no partiality with Him.

The Armor of God

10Henceforth be empowered in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11Put on the complete armor of God, for you to be able to stand against the schemes of the devil, 12because to us the wrestling is not against blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

13Because of this, take up the complete armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all things, to stand. 14Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15and having shod the feet with the readiness of the gospel of peace; 16besides all, having taken up the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18through all prayer and supplication, praying in the Spirit in every season and unto this very thing, watching with all perseverance and supplication for all saints, 19and also for me, that in the opening of my mouth, divine utterance may be given to me to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, 20for which I am an ambassador in a chain, that in it I may be bold, as it behooves me to speak.

Final Greetings

21And that you also may know the things concerning me, what I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make known to you all things, 22whom I have sent to you for this very purpose, that you may know the things concerning us, and he may encourage your hearts.

23Peace to the brothers and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

24Grace be with all those loving our Lord Jesus Christ in incorruptibility.
