Psalm 4
A Faithful Version

To the Chief Musician, for stringed instruments. A Psalm of David.

1Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness. You gave me relief when I was in distress; be gracious to me, and hear my prayer.

2O sons of men, how long will my glory be put to shame? How long will you love delusions and seek after lies? Selah.

3But know that the LORD has set apart the godly for Himself. The LORD will hear when I call to Him.

4Tremble, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

5Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

6There are many who say, "Who will show us any good?" LORD, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us.

7You have put gladness in my heart, more than when their grain and their wine increased.

8I will both lie down in peace and sleep, for You alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.
