I am writing this to you so that you may know that you have eternal life--you that believe in the Son of God.

These things I write to you that you may know that you have eternal life: you who believe in the name of the Son of God.
1 John 1:4 And these things we write to you, that you may rejoice and your joy may be full.
1 John 2:1,13,14,21,26 My little children, these things I write to you, that you may not sin. But if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the just. . . .
John 20:31 But these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God: and that believing, you may have life in his name.
John 21:24 This is that disciple who giveth testimony of these things and hath written these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
1 Peter 5:12 By Sylvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I think, I have written briefly: beseeching and testifying that this is the true grace of God, wherein you stand.

2 Peter 1:10,11 Wherefore, brethren, labour the more, that by good works you may make sure your calling and election. For doing these things, you shall not sin at any time. . . .
12He that hath the Son hath life. He that hath not the Son hath not life. 13These things I write to you that you may know that you have eternal life: you who believe in the name of the Son of God. 14And this is the confidence which we have towards him: That, whatsoever we shall ask according to his will, he heareth us.…
But as many as received him, he gave them power to be made the sons of God, to them that believe in his name.
Amen, amen, I say unto you that he who heareth my word and believeth him that sent me hath life everlasting: and cometh not into judgment, but is passed from death to life.
But these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God: and that believing, you may have life in his name.

For the life was manifested: and we have seen and do bear witness and declare unto you the life eternal, which was with the Father and hath appeared to us.
1 John 2:25
And this is the promise which he hath promised us, life everlasting.

By this hath the charity of God appeared towards us, because God hath sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we may live by him.

And this is the testimony that God hath given to us eternal life. And this life is in his Son.
1 John 5:20
And we know that the Son of God is come. And he hath given us understanding that we may know the true God and may be in his true Son. This is the true God and life eternal.
