1 Maccabees 3:3
Good News Translation
Judas brought greater glory to his people. In his armor, he was like a giant. He took up his weapons and went to war; with his own sword he defended his camp.

He extended the glory of his people. Like a giant he put on his breastplate; he bound on his armor of war and waged battles, protecting the camp by his sword.

Judas was a mighty warrior and made Israel more glorious than ever. When he put on his armor and took up his sword, he marched into battle and protected his troops.
