ContextThe Great Day of the LORD
…3And you shall tread down the wicked when they shall be ashes under the sole of your feet in the day that I do this, saith the Lord of hosts. 4Remember the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, the precepts, and judgments.5Behold, I will send you Elias the prophet, before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.…
Beware lest thou ever forget the covenant of the Lord thy God, which he hath made with thee: and make to thyself a graven likeness of those things which the Lord hath forbid to be made:
The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
Take heed, and beware lest at any time thou forget the Lord thy God, and neglect his commandments and judgments and ceremonies, which I command thee this day:
But if thou forget the Lord thy God, and follow strange gods, and serve and adore them: behold now I foretell thee that thou shalt utterly perish.
