A psalm of a canticle, for the sons of Core, on the second day of the week.  Great is the Lord, and exceedingly to be praised in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.
Psalm 46:1 Unto the end, for the sons of Core, for the hidden.  Our God is our refuge and strength: a helper in troubles, which have found us exceedingly.

For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
For the Lord is great, and exceedingly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
The Lord is great in Sion, and high above all people.
From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, the name of the Lord is worthy of praise.
For the Lord hath chosen Sion: he hath chosen it for his dwelling.
For I have known that the Lord is great, and our God is above all gods.
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: and of his greatness there is no end.
Great is our Lord, and great is his power: and of his wisdom there is no number.
And many people shall go, and say: Come and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob, and he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall come forth from Sion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
There is none like to thee, O Lord: thou art great, and great is thy name in might.
Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: As yet shall they say this word in the land of Juda, and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring back their captivity: The Lord bless thee, the beauty of justice, the holy mountain.
Because thou hast said: The two nations, and the two lands shall be mine, and I will possess them by inheritance: whereas the Lord was there.
According as thou sawest, that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and broke in pieces the clay and the iron, and the brass, and the silver, and the gold, the great God hath shewn the king what shall come to pass hereafter, and the dream is true, and the interpretation thereof is faithful.
Therefore because of you, Sion shall be ploughed as a field, and Jerusalem shall be as a heap of stones, and the mountain of the temple as the high places of the forests.
