(2) In type, the preparation of Israel for receiving Jehovah's "BRANCH" See Scofield Note: "Isa 4:2". The refusal of the Jews to abandon self-righteousness for the righteousness of God blinded them to the presence of the BRANCH in their midst at His first advent Rom 10:1-4 11:7,8 Cf.
