1Thus says the LORD; “For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not retract its punishment, because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime (ashes); 2But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the fortresses of Kerioth; and Moab shall die amid war cries and the sound of the trumpet. 3And I will destroy her ruler, and will slay all her princes with him”, says the LORD.

4Thus says the LORD: “For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not relent and rescind its punishment; because they have despised the law of the LORD, have not kept His commandments, and their self-delusion caused them to err, pursuing the idols which their fathers have pursued; 5But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the fortresses of Jerusalem.”

6Thus says the LORD: “For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not rescind its punishment; because they sold the righteous and innocent for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes, 7They trample in the dust the head of the poor, and disregard the rights of the meek; and a man and his father will have relations with the same girl, to profane My holy name. 8And they lie down upon clothes taken in pledge by every altar, and they drink wine they confiscated by fines in the house of their false god. 9And still I destroyed the (giant) Amorite before them, whose stature was like the height of the cedars, and strong as the oaks (Num.13:32); yet I destroyed his fruit above, and his roots below. 10I also brought you up out of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to give you the land of the Amorites. 11And I raised up prophets from among your sons, and Nazirites from your young men. Is this not true, O children of Israel?” says the LORD. 12“But you gave the Nazirites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets to not prophesy. 13So now I will crush you like an overloaded cart. 14Therefore, neither the swift, the strong, nor the mighty shall escape; 15Nor shall he that handles the bow (the archer), the fleet-footed soldier, nor anyone on horseback save himself. 16Even the most courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day”, says the LORD.
