1Then the LORD said to me, “Go, show your love to your wife again, though she is loved by another man, and is yet an adulteress. Love her as the LORD loves the children of Israel, though they look to other gods, and love sacred cakes of raisins.
2So I bought (redeemed) her for myself for fifteen pieces of silver, and for a homer of barley, and a half homer of barley.
3And I said to her, “You shall live with Me many days; you shall not play the harlot, and you shall not be intimate with another man; and so will I also be toward you.”
4For the children of Israel shall go many days without a king or a prince, without sacrifice, without sacred images, or an ephod, or idols.
