1But in the last days the mountain of the house of the LORD (Temple) shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall stream to it. 2And many nations shall come, and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the Temple of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths”; for the law shall go from Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 3And He shall judge among many nations, and settle disputes of strong nations far and wide; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not take up sword against nation, nor shall they learn war any more. 4But every man shall sit under his own vine and fig tree; and no one shall make them afraid; for the mouth of the LORD Almighty has spoken it. 5For though other nations around us may follow their gods or idols, we will walk, in the name of the LORD, our God, forever and ever.

6In that day, says the LORD, I will gather the lame, and those that I have driven into exile, and those that I have afflicted; 7And I will make the lame My remnant, and those who were driven afar off I will make a strong nation; and the LORD shall reign over them in Mount Zion from that day for evermore.

8And you, Jerusalem, watchtower of the flock, stronghold of the daughter of Zion, the former dominion shall be restored to you; the kingship will come to the daughter of Jerusalem 9Now why do you cry out aloud? Have you no king? Has your ruler perished, that pain seizes you like a woman in labor? 10Be in pain, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail; for now, you must leave the city, and dwell in the open field. And you shall go clear to Babylon; there shall you be rescued; there the LORD shall redeem you from the hand of your enemies. 11But now many nations have gathered against you that say, “Let her be defiled, and let us gloat over Zion”. 12But they do understand the LORD, nor do they know His plans; for He shall gather them like the sheaves on the threshing floor. 13Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion; for I will make your horns of iron, and I will make your hoofs of bronze; and you shall break into pieces many nations; and I will consecrate their ill-gotten gains unto the LORD, and their substance unto the LORD of all the earth.
