Psalm 138
Easy Reader Bible: Purple Letter EditionKJP
A Psalm of David.

1I will praise You with my whole heart; before the ‘gods’ will I sing praise unto You. 2I will bow toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name for Your loving-kindness and for Your truth; for You have so exalted Your word even above Your name. 3In the day when I called, You answered me, and encouraged me by giving me strength. 4May all the kings of the earth praise You, O LORD, when they hear Your words. 5May they sing of the ways of the LORD; for great is the glory of the LORD. 6Though the LORD be high and exalted, yet He regard for the lowly; but He keeps the smug and haughty far from His presence. 7Though I am surrounded by trouble, You will preserve me; You reach out Your hand to fend off the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand shall save me. 8The LORD will fulfill His purpose and plans for me. Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; do not forsake me, the works of Your Own hands.

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.
