Psalm 28
Easy Reader Bible: Purple Letter EditionKJP
A Psalm of David.

1I will cry unto You, O LORD, my Rock; do not turn a deaf ear to me; for, if You are silent toward me, I may become like those who go down into the grave. 2Hear the voice of my pleas, when I cry unto You, when I lift my hands toward Your holy inner sanctuary. 3Do not drag me away with those wicked that work evil, who speak friendly to their neighbors, but plan their harm. 4Give them what they have earned, repay them for their wicked schemes and the evil works of their hands. 5Because they have no regard for the works of the LORD, nor what His hands have created, He shall tear them down, that they cannot be rebuilt.

6Blessed be the LORD, because He has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy. 7The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. Therefore, my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song I will thank and praise Him.

8The LORD is the strength of His people; He is the saving strength of His anointed. 9Save Your people, and bless Your inheritance; be their benevolent shepherd, and lead them for eternity.
