Psalm 4
Easy Reader Bible: Purple Letter EditionKJP
To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm of David.

1Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness. You have relieved me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

2O you sons of men, how long will you malign My glory? How long will you love vanity, and pursue lies? Selah.

3But know that the LORD has set apart him who is godly for Himself; the LORD will hear when I call to Him.

4Stand in awe, and sin not; meditate within your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

5Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

6There are many that say, “Who will show us any good?” LORD, lift the light of Your countenance upon us.

7You have filled my heart with gladness, more than when the grain and wine abound.

8I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You, alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.
