Psalm 52
Easy Reader Bible: Purple Letter EditionKJP
To the chief Musician, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech.

1Why do you boast of evil, you mighty hero (used sarcastically)? The goodness of God’s faithfulness is eternal. 2Your mischievous tongue is like a sharp razor, working treachery. 3You love evil more than good; and prefer lying to righteousness. Selah. 4You love your harmful words, you treacherous tongue.

5God shall bring you to everlasting destruction; He shall remove you, and pluck you out of your dwelling place, and uproot you out of the land of the living. Selah. 6The righteous also shall look on with awe, and laugh at you, and say: 7“Behold the man who would not trust God his strength; but trusted in earthly gain and cruelty”.

8But I am like a green olive tree flourishing in the house of God; ever trusting in God’s eternal love. 9I will praise You forever, for all You have done; and in the presence Your saints I rely upon Your name.
