To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David.

1O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger, nor chasten me in Your hot displeasure. 2Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak; O LORD, heal me; for my bones shake. 3My entire being is shaken; but You, O LORD, how long? 4Return, O LORD, rescue my soul; save me for Your mercies' sake. 5For in death there is no remembrance of You; in the grave who shall give You praise? 6I am weary with my groaning; all night I dampen my bed with my tears. 7My vision is diminished in my grief; my eyes grow dim because of all my enemies.

8Depart from me, all you evil doers; for the LORD has heard my weeping. 9The LORD has heard my plea; He will answer my prayer. 10May all my enemies be disgraced, perplexed, and rebuffed in sudden embarrassment.

Shiggaion of David, which he sang unto the LORD, concerning the words of Cush, the Benjamite.
