Psalm 1
CSB Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Christian Standard BibleKing James Bible
1How happy is the one who does not walk in the advice of the wicked or stand in the pathway with sinners or sit in the company of mockers!1Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2Instead, his delight is in the LORD's instruction, and he meditates on it day and night.2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3He is like a tree planted beside flowing streams that bears its fruit in its season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4The wicked are not like this; instead, they are like chaff that the wind blows away.4The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5Therefore the wicked will not stand up in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.5Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to ruin.6For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
