Psalm 14
NASB Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995English Standard Version
1For the choir director. A Psalm of David. The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one who does good.1The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good.
2The LORD has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there are any who understand, Who seek after God.2The LORD looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.
3They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, not even one.3They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one.
4Do all the workers of wickedness not know, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call upon the Lord?4Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread and do not call upon the LORD?
5There they are in great dread, For God is with the righteous generation.5There they are in great terror, for God is with the generation of the righteous.
6You would put to shame the counsel of the afflicted, But the LORD is his refuge.6You would shame the plans of the poor, but the LORD is his refuge.
7Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores His captive people, Jacob will rejoice, Israel will be glad.7Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.
