Psalm 123
NASB Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New Living Translation
1A Song of Ascents. To You I lift up my eyes, O You who are enthroned in the heavens!1I lift my eyes to you, O God, enthroned in heaven.
2Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the LORD our God, Until He is gracious to us.2We keep looking to the LORD our God for his mercy, just as servants keep their eyes on their master, as a slave girl watches her mistress for the slightest signal.
3Be gracious to us, O LORD, be gracious to us, For we are greatly filled with contempt.3Have mercy on us, LORD, have mercy, for we have had our fill of contempt.
4Our soul is greatly filled With the scoffing of those who are at ease, And with the contempt of the proud.4We have had more than our fill of the scoffing of the proud and the contempt of the arrogant.
