Psalm 120
NIV Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New International VersionChristian Standard Bible
1A song of ascents. I call on the LORD in my distress, and he answers me.1In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me.
2Save me, LORD, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.2"LORD, rescue me from lying lips and a deceitful tongue."
3What will he do to you, and what more besides, you deceitful tongue?3What will he give you, and what will he do to you, you deceitful tongue?
4He will punish you with a warrior's sharp arrows, with burning coals of the broom bush.4A warrior's sharp arrows with burning charcoal!
5Woe to me that I dwell in Meshek, that I live among the tents of Kedar!5What misery that I have stayed in Meshech, that I have lived among the tents of Kedar!
6Too long have I lived among those who hate peace.6I have dwelt too long with those who hate peace.
7I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.7I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
