NKJV Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionChristian Standard Bible
How beautiful are your feet in sandals, O prince’s daughter! The curves of your thighs are like jewels, The work of the hands of a skillful workman.1How beautiful are your sandaled feet, princess! The curves of your thighs are like jewelry, the handiwork of a master.
Your navel is a rounded goblet; It lacks no blended beverage. Your waist is a heap of wheat Set about with lilies.2Your navel is a rounded bowl; it never lacks mixed wine. Your belly is a mound of wheat surrounded by lilies.
Your two breasts are like two fawns, Twins of a gazelle.3Your breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle.
Your neck is like an ivory tower, Your eyes like the pools in Heshbon By the gate of Bath Rabbim. Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon Which looks toward Damascus.4Your neck is like a tower of ivory, your eyes like pools in Heshbon by Bath-rabbim's gate. Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon looking toward Damascus.
Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel, And the hair of your head is like purple; A king is held captive by your tresses.5Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel, the hair of your head like purple cloth--a king could be held captive in your tresses.
How fair and how pleasant you are, O love, with your delights!6How beautiful you are and how pleasant, my love, with such delights!
This stature of yours is like a palm tree, And your breasts like its clusters.7Your stature is like a palm tree; your breasts are clusters of fruit.
I said, “I will go up to the palm tree, I will take hold of its branches.” Let now your breasts be like clusters of the vine, The fragrance of your breath like apples,8I said, "I will climb the palm tree and take hold of its fruit." May your breasts be like clusters of grapes, and the fragrance of your breath like apricots.
And the roof of your mouth like the best wine. The wine goes down smoothly for my beloved, Moving gently the lips of sleepers.9Your mouth is like fine wine--Woman flowing smoothly for my love, gliding past my lips and teeth!
I am my beloved’s, And his desire is toward me.10I am my love's, and his desire is for me.
Come, my beloved, Let us go forth to the field; Let us lodge in the villages.11Come, my love, let's go to the field; let's spend the night among the henna blossoms.
Let us get up early to the vineyards; Let us see if the vine has budded, Whether the grape blossoms are open, And the pomegranates are in bloom. There I will give you my love.12Let's go early to the vineyards; let's see if the vine has budded, if the blossom has opened, if the pomegranates are in bloom. There I will give you my caresses.
The mandrakes give off a fragrance, And at our gates are pleasant fruits, All manner, new and old, Which I have laid up for you, my beloved.13The mandrakes give off a fragrance, and at our doors is every delicacy, both new and old. I have treasured them up for you, my love.
