New King James VersionKing James Bible
Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, Who delights greatly in His commandments.1Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed.2His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
Wealth and riches will be in his house, And his righteousness endures forever.3Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.4Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion.5A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.6Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.7He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
His heart is established; He will not be afraid, Until he sees his desire upon his enemies.8His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted with honor.9He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.
The wicked will see it and be grieved; He will gnash his teeth and melt away; The desire of the wicked shall perish.10The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
