Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, And His praise in the assembly of saints.1Praise the LORD. Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of his faithful people.
Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.2Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in their King.
Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.3Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with timbrel and harp.
For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.4For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.
Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds.5Let his faithful people rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds.
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand,6May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands,
To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples;7to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples,
To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron;8to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron,
To execute on them the written judgment— This honor have all His saints. Praise the LORD!9to carry out the sentence written against them-- this is the glory of all his faithful people. Praise the LORD.
