A Psalm of David. To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul.1Of David. In you, LORD my God, I put my trust.
O my God, I trust in You; Let me not be ashamed; Let not my enemies triumph over me.2I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.
Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.3No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause.
Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths.4Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths.
Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.5Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
Remember, O LORD, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, For they are from of old.6Remember, LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; According to Your mercy remember me, For Your goodness’ sake, O LORD.7Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, LORD, are good.
Good and upright is the LORD; Therefore He teaches sinners in the way.8Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.
The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way.9He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.
All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth, To such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.10All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.
For Your name’s sake, O LORD, Pardon my iniquity, for it is great.11For the sake of your name, LORD, forgive my iniquity, though it is great.
Who is the man that fears the LORD? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses.12Who, then, are those who fear the LORD? He will instruct them in the ways they should choose.
He himself shall dwell in prosperity, And his descendants shall inherit the earth.13They will spend their days in prosperity, and their descendants will inherit the land.
The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.14The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them.
My eyes are ever toward the LORD, For He shall pluck my feet out of the net.15My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare.
Turn Yourself to me, and have mercy on me, For I am desolate and afflicted.16Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.
The troubles of my heart have enlarged; Bring me out of my distresses!17Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish.
Look on my affliction and my pain, And forgive all my sins.18Look on my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins.
Consider my enemies, for they are many; And they hate me with cruel hatred.19See how numerous are my enemies and how fiercely they hate me!
Keep my soul, and deliver me; Let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in You.20Guard my life and rescue me; do not let me be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for You.21May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope, LORD, is in you.
Redeem Israel, O God, Out of all their troubles!22Deliver Israel, O God, from all their troubles!
