NKJV Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNew International Version
To the Chief Musician. To the tune of “Death of the Son.” A Psalm of David. I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works.1For the director of music. To the tune of "The Death of the Son." A psalm of David. I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.2I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.
When my enemies turn back, They shall fall and perish at Your presence.3My enemies turn back; they stumble and perish before you.
For You have maintained my right and my cause; You sat on the throne judging in righteousness.4For you have upheld my right and my cause, sitting enthroned as the righteous judge.
You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked; You have blotted out their name forever and ever.5You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked; you have blotted out their name for ever and ever.
O enemy, destructions are finished forever! And you have destroyed cities; Even their memory has perished.6Endless ruin has overtaken my enemies, you have uprooted their cities; even the memory of them has perished.
But the LORD shall endure forever; He has prepared His throne for judgment.7The LORD reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgment.
He shall judge the world in righteousness, And He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness.8He rules the world in righteousness and judges the peoples with equity.
The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble.9The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.10Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.
Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Zion! Declare His deeds among the people.11Sing the praises of the LORD, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what he has done.
When He avenges blood, He remembers them; He does not forget the cry of the humble.12For he who avenges blood remembers; he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.
Have mercy on me, O LORD! Consider my trouble from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death,13LORD, see how my enemies persecute me! Have mercy and lift me up from the gates of death,
That I may tell of all Your praise In the gates of the daughter of Zion. I will rejoice in Your salvation.14that I may declare your praises in the gates of Daughter Zion, and there rejoice in your salvation.
The nations have sunk down in the pit which they made; In the net which they hid, their own foot is caught.15The nations have fallen into the pit they have dug; their feet are caught in the net they have hidden.
The LORD is known by the judgment He executes; The wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Meditation. Selah16The LORD is known by his acts of justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.
The wicked shall be turned into hell, And all the nations that forget God.17The wicked go down to the realm of the dead, all the nations that forget God.
For the needy shall not always be forgotten; The expectation of the poor shall not perish forever.18But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish.
Arise, O LORD, Do not let man prevail; Let the nations be judged in Your sight.19Arise, LORD, do not let mortals triumph; let the nations be judged in your presence.
Put them in fear, O LORD, That the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah20Strike them with terror, LORD; let the nations know they are only mortal.
