Psalm 30
NLT Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationKing James Bible
I will exalt you, LORD, for you rescued me. You refused to let my enemies triumph over me.1A Psalm and Song at the dedication of the house of David. I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.
O LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you restored my health.2O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.
You brought me up from the grave, O LORD. You kept me from falling into the pit of death.3O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
Sing to the LORD, all you godly ones! Praise his holy name.4Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.5For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
When I was prosperous, I said, “Nothing can stop me now!”6And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.
Your favor, O LORD, made me as secure as a mountain. Then you turned away from me, and I was shattered.7LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.
I cried out to you, O LORD. I begged the Lord for mercy, saying,8I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication.
“What will you gain if I die, if I sink into the grave? Can my dust praise you? Can it tell of your faithfulness?9What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
Hear me, LORD, and have mercy on me. Help me, O LORD.”10Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.
You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,11Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever!12To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
