2 “Speak to the Israelites and tell them: After you enter the land that I am giving you as a home “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you come into the land you are to inhabit, which I am giving you, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land of your habitations, which I give unto you, “Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you enter the land where you are going to live, which I am giving you, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘After you enter the land I am giving you as a home
3 and you present an offering made by fire to the LORD from the herd or flock to produce a pleasing aroma to the LORD— either a burnt offering or a sacrifice, for a special vow or freewill offering or appointed feast— and you offer to the LORD from the herd or from the flock a food offering or a burnt offering or a sacrifice, to fulfill a vow or as a freewill offering or at your appointed feasts, to make a pleasing aroma to the LORD, And will make an offering by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice in performing a vow, or in a freewill offering, or in your solemn feasts, to make a sweet savour unto the LORD, of the herd, or of the flock: and you make an offering by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering or a sacrifice to fulfill a special vow, or as a voluntary offering or at your appointed times, to make a soothing aroma to the LORD from the herd or from the flock, and you present to the LORD food offerings from the herd or the flock, as an aroma pleasing to the LORD—whether burnt offerings or sacrifices, for special vows or freewill offerings or festival offerings—
4 then the one presenting his offering to the LORD shall also present a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a quarter hin of olive oil. then he who brings his offering shall offer to the LORD a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour, mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil; Then shall he that offereth his offering unto the LORD bring a meat offering of a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth <i>part</i> of an hin of oil. then the one who presents his offering shall present to the LORD a grain offering of a tenth <i>of an</i> <i>ephah</i> of fine flour mixed with a fourth of a hin of oil, then the person who brings an offering shall present to the LORD a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of olive oil.
5 With the burnt offering or sacrifice of each lamb, you are to prepare a quarter hin of wine as a drink offering. and you shall offer with the burnt offering, or for the sacrifice, a quarter of a hin of wine for the drink offering for each lamb. And the fourth <i>part</i> of an hin of wine for a drink offering shalt thou prepare with the burnt offering or sacrifice, for one lamb. and you shall prepare wine for the drink offering, a fourth of a hin, with the burnt offering or for the sacrifice, for each lamb. With each lamb for the burnt offering or the sacrifice, prepare a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering.
6 With a ram you are to prepare a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of olive oil, Or for a ram, you shall offer for a grain offering two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil. Or for a ram, thou shalt prepare <i>for</i> a meat offering two tenth deals of flour mingled with the third <i>part</i> of an hin of oil. Or for a ram you shall prepare as a grain offering two-tenths <i>of an ephah</i> of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil; “’With a ram prepare a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with a third of a hin of olive oil,
7 and a third of a hin of wine as a drink offering, a pleasing aroma to the LORD. And for the drink offering you shall offer a third of a hin of wine, a pleasing aroma to the LORD. And for a drink offering thou shalt offer the third <i>part</i> of an hin of wine, <i>for</i> a sweet savour unto the LORD. and for the drink offering you shall offer a third of a hin of wine as a soothing aroma to the LORD. and a third of a hin of wine as a drink offering. Offer it as an aroma pleasing to the LORD.
8 When you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice to fulfill a vow or as a peace offering to the LORD, And when you offer a bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice, to fulfill a vow or for peace offerings to the LORD, And when thou preparest a bullock <i>for</i> a burnt offering, or <i>for</i> a sacrifice in performing a vow, or peace offerings unto the LORD: And when you prepare a bull as a burnt offering or a sacrifice, to fulfill a special vow, or for peace offerings to the LORD, “’When you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice, for a special vow or a fellowship offering to the LORD,
9 present with the bull a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with half a hin of olive oil. then one shall offer with the bull a grain offering of three tenths of an ephah of fine flour, mixed with half a hin of oil. Then shall he bring with a bullock a meat offering of three tenth deals of flour mingled with half an hin of oil. then you shall offer with the bull a grain offering of three-tenths <i>of an ephah</i> of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil; bring with the bull a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with half a hin of olive oil,
10 Also present half a hin of wine as a drink offering. It is an offering made by fire, a pleasing aroma to the LORD. And you shall offer for the drink offering half a hin of wine, as a food offering, a pleasing aroma to the LORD. And thou shalt bring for a drink offering half an hin of wine, <i>for</i> an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD. and you shall offer as the drink offering half a hin of wine as an offering by fire, as a soothing aroma to the LORD. and also bring half a hin of wine as a drink offering. This will be a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.
11 This is to be done for each bull, ram, lamb, or goat. “Thus it shall be done for each bull or ram, or for each lamb or young goat. Thus shall it be done for one bullock, or for one ram, or for a lamb, or a kid. ‘This is how it shall be done for each ox, or for each ram, or for each of the male lambs, or of the goats. Each bull or ram, each lamb or young goat, is to be prepared in this manner.
12 This is how you must prepare each one, no matter how many. As many as you offer, so shall you do with each one, as many as there are. According to the number that ye shall prepare, so shall ye do to every one according to their number. According to the number that you prepare, so you shall do for each one according to their number. Do this for each one, for as many as you prepare.
13 Everyone who is native-born shall prepare these things in this way when he presents an offering made by fire as a pleasing aroma to the LORD. Every native Israelite shall do these things in this way, in offering a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the LORD. All that are born of the country shall do these things after this manner, in offering an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD. Everyone who is a native shall do these things in this way, in presenting an offering by fire as a soothing aroma to the LORD. “’Everyone who is native-born must do these things in this way when they present a food offering as an aroma pleasing to the LORD.
14 And for the generations to come, if a foreigner residing with you or someone else among you wants to prepare an offering made by fire as a pleasing aroma to the LORD, he is to do exactly as you do. And if a stranger is sojourning with you, or anyone is living permanently among you, and he wishes to offer a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the LORD, he shall do as you do. And if a stranger sojourn with you, or whosoever <i>be</i> among you in your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD; as ye do, so he shall do. Now if a stranger resides among you, or one who <i>may be</i> among you throughout your generations, and he <i>wants to</i> make an offering by fire, as a soothing aroma to the LORD, just as you do so shall he do. For the generations to come, whenever a foreigner or anyone else living among you presents a food offering as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, they must do exactly as you do.
15 The assembly is to have the same statute both for you and for the foreign resident; it is a permanent statute for the generations to come. You and the foreigner shall be the same before the LORD. For the assembly, there shall be one statute for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you, a statute forever throughout your generations. You and the sojourner shall be alike before the LORD. One ordinance <i>shall be both</i> for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth <i>with you</i>, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye <i>are</i>, so shall the stranger be before the LORD. <i>As for</i> the assembly, there shall be one statute for you and for the stranger who resides <i>among you,</i> a permanent statute throughout your generations; as you are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD. The community is to have the same rules for you and for the foreigner residing among you; this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. You and the foreigner shall be the same before the LORD:
16 The same law and the same ordinance will apply both to you and to the foreigner residing with you.” One law and one rule shall be for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.” One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you. There is to be one law and one ordinance for you and for the stranger who resides with you.’” The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the foreigner residing among you.’”
17 Then the LORD said to Moses, The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, The LORD said to Moses,
18 “Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When you enter the land to which I am bringing you “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you come into the land to which I bring you Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land whither I bring you, “Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you enter the land where I am bringing you, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter the land to which I am taking you
19 and you eat the food of the land, you shall lift up an offering to the LORD. and when you eat of the bread of the land, you shall present a contribution to the LORD. Then it shall be, that, when ye eat of the bread of the land, ye shall offer up an heave offering unto the LORD. then it shall be, that when you eat from the food of the land, you shall lift up an offering to the LORD. and you eat the food of the land, present a portion as an offering to the LORD.
20 From the first of your dough, you are to lift up a cake as a contribution; offer it just like an offering from the threshing floor. Of the first of your dough you shall present a loaf as a contribution; like a contribution from the threshing floor, so shall you present it. Ye shall offer up a cake of the first of your dough <i>for</i> an heave offering: as <i>ye do</i> the heave offering of the threshingfloor, so shall ye heave it. Of the first of your dough you shall lift up a loaf as an offering; as an offering of the threshing floor, so you shall lift it up. Present a loaf from the first of your ground meal and present it as an offering from the threshing floor.
21 Throughout your generations, you are to give the LORD an offering from the first of your dough. Some of the first of your dough you shall give to the LORD as a contribution throughout your generations. Of the first of your dough ye shall give unto the LORD an heave offering in your generations. From the first of your dough you shall give to the LORD an offering throughout your generations. Throughout the generations to come you are to give this offering to the LORD from the first of your ground meal.
22 Now if you stray unintentionally and do not obey all these commandments that the LORD has spoken to Moses— “But if you sin unintentionally, and do not observe all these commandments that the LORD has spoken to Moses, And if ye have erred, and not observed all these commandments, which the LORD hath spoken unto Moses, ‘But when you unintentionally do wrong and fail to comply with all these commandments which the LORD has spoken to Moses, “’Now if you as a community unintentionally fail to keep any of these commands the LORD gave Moses—
23 all that the LORD has commanded you through Moses from the day the LORD gave them and continuing through the generations to come— all that the LORD has commanded you by Moses, from the day that the LORD gave commandment, and onward throughout your generations, <i>Even</i> all that the LORD hath commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day that the LORD commanded <i>Moses</i>, and henceforward among your generations; <i>that is,</i> all that the LORD has commanded you through Moses from the day that the LORD gave commandments and onward, throughout your generations, any of the LORD’s commands to you through him, from the day the LORD gave them and continuing through the generations to come—
24 and if it was done unintentionally without the knowledge of the congregation, then the whole congregation is to prepare one young bull as a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma to the LORD, with its grain offering and drink offering according to the regulation, and one male goat as a sin offering. then if it was done unintentionally without the knowledge of the congregation, all the congregation shall offer one bull from the herd for a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma to the LORD, with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the rule, and one male goat for a sin offering. Then it shall be, if <i>ought</i> be committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the LORD, with his meat offering, and his drink offering, according to the manner, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering. then it shall be, if it is done unintentionally, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one bull as a burnt offering, as a soothing aroma to the LORD, with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the ordinance, and one male goat as a sin offering. and if this is done unintentionally without the community being aware of it, then the whole community is to offer a young bull for a burnt offering as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, along with its prescribed grain offering and drink offering, and a male goat for a sin offering.
25 The priest is to make atonement for the whole congregation of Israel, so that they may be forgiven; for the sin was unintentional and they have brought to the LORD an offering made by fire and a sin offering, presented before the LORD for their unintentional sin. And the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the people of Israel, and they shall be forgiven, because it was a mistake, and they have brought their offering, a food offering to the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD for their mistake. And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it <i>is</i> ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their ignorance: Then the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and they will be forgiven; for it was an unintentional wrong, and they have brought their offering, an offering by fire to the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their unintentional wrong. The priest is to make atonement for the whole Israelite community, and they will be forgiven, for it was not intentional and they have presented to the LORD for their wrong a food offering and a sin offering.
26 Then the whole congregation of Israel and the foreigners residing among them will be forgiven, since it happened to all the people unintentionally. And all the congregation of the people of Israel shall be forgiven, and the stranger who sojourns among them, because the whole population was involved in the mistake. And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; seeing all the people <i>were</i> in ignorance. So all the congregation of the sons of Israel will be forgiven, as well as the stranger who resides among them, for <i>guilt was attributed</i> to all the people through an unintentional wrong. The whole Israelite community and the foreigners residing among them will be forgiven, because all the people were involved in the unintentional wrong.
27 Also, if one person sins unintentionally, he is to present a year-old female goat as a sin offering. “If one person sins unintentionally, he shall offer a female goat a year old for a sin offering. And if any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering. ‘Also, if one person sins unintentionally, then he shall offer a one-year-old female goat as a sin offering. “’But if just one person sins unintentionally, that person must bring a year-old female goat for a sin offering.
28 And the priest shall make atonement before the LORD on behalf of the person who erred by sinning unintentionally; and when atonement has been made for him, he will be forgiven. And the priest shall make atonement before the LORD for the person who makes a mistake, when he sins unintentionally, to make atonement for him, and he shall be forgiven. And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him. And the priest shall make atonement before the LORD for the person who goes astray by an unintentional sin, making atonement for him so that he may be forgiven. The priest is to make atonement before the LORD for the one who erred by sinning unintentionally, and when atonement has been made, that person will be forgiven.
29 You shall have the same law for the one who acts in error, whether he is a native-born Israelite or a foreigner residing among you. You shall have one law for him who does anything unintentionally, for him who is native among the people of Israel and for the stranger who sojourns among them. Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, <i>both for</i> him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them. You shall have one law for the native among the sons of Israel and for the stranger who resides among them, for one who does <i>anything wrong</i> unintentionally. One and the same law applies to everyone who sins unintentionally, whether a native-born Israelite or a foreigner residing among you.
30 But the person who sins defiantly, whether a native or foreigner, blasphemes the LORD. That person shall be cut off from among his people. But the person who does anything with a high hand, whether he is native or a sojourner, reviles the LORD, and that person shall be cut off from among his people. But the soul that doeth <i>ought</i> presumptuously, <i>whether he be</i> born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people. But the person who does <i>wrong</i> defiantly, whether he is a native or a stranger, that one is blaspheming the LORD; and that person shall be cut off from among his people. “’But anyone who sins defiantly, whether native-born or foreigner, blasphemes the LORD and must be cut off from the people of Israel.
31 He shall certainly be cut off, because he has despised the word of the LORD and broken His commandment; his guilt remains on him.” Because he has despised the word of the LORD and has broken his commandment, that person shall be utterly cut off; his iniquity shall be on him.” Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity <i>shall be</i> upon him. Since he has despised the word of the LORD and has broken His commandment, that person shall be completely cut off; his guilt <i>will be</i> on him.’” Because they have despised the LORD’s word and broken his commands, they must surely be cut off; their guilt remains on them.’”
32 While the Israelites were in the wilderness, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day. While the people of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day. And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day. Now while the sons of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day. While the Israelites were in the wilderness, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day.
33 Those who found the man gathering wood brought him to Moses, Aaron, and the whole congregation, And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation. And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation. And those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation; Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly,
34 and because it had not been declared what should be done to him, they placed him in custody. They put him in custody, because it had not been made clear what should be done to him. And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him. and they placed him in custody, because it had not been decided what should be done to him. and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him.
35 And the LORD said to Moses, “The man must surely be put to death. The whole congregation is to stone him outside the camp.” And the LORD said to Moses, “The man shall be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.” And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp. Then the LORD said to Moses, “The man must be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.” Then the LORD said to Moses, “The man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp.”
36 So the whole congregation took the man outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD had commanded Moses. And all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death with stones, as the LORD commanded Moses. And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses. So all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death with stones, just as the LORD had commanded Moses. So the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD commanded Moses.
37 Later, the LORD said to Moses, The LORD said to Moses, And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, The LORD also spoke to Moses, saying, The LORD said to Moses,
38 “Speak to the Israelites and tell them that throughout the generations to come they are to make for themselves tassels for the corners of their garments, with a blue cord on each tassel. “Speak to the people of Israel, and tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a cord of blue on the tassel of each corner. Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue: “Speak to the sons of Israel and tell them that they shall make for themselves tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and that they shall put on the tassel of each corner a violet thread. “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘Throughout the generations to come you are to make tassels on the corners of your garments, with a blue cord on each tassel.
39 These will serve as tassels for you to look at, so that you may remember all the commandments of the LORD, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by following your own heart and your own eyes. And it shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the LORD, to do them, not to follow after your own heart and your own eyes, which you are inclined to whore after. And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring: It shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the LORD, so that you will do them and not follow your own heart and your own eyes, which led you to prostitute yourselves, You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the LORD, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.
40 Then you will remember and obey all My commandments, and you will be holy to your God. So you shall remember and do all my commandments, and be holy to your God. That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God. so that you will remember and do all My commandments and be holy to your God. Then you will remember to obey all my commands and will be consecrated to your God.
41 I am the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD your God.” I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God: I am the LORD your God.” I <i>am</i> the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I <i>am</i> the LORD your God. I am the LORD your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt to be your God; I am the LORD your God.” I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD your God.’”
