1 And at that time Michael the great prince will stand up, the one standing over the sons of your people. And there will be a time of distress, which has not come to be, from coming to be a nation until that time; and at that time your people will be delivered, everyone being found written in the book.

2 And many of those sleeping in the soil of the dust will awake—these to life everlasting, and these to shame and contempt everlasting.

3 And those acting wisely will shine like the shining of the firmament; and those justifying many like the stars, forever and ever.

4 And you, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will roam about, and knowledge will multiply.”

5 And I looked—I, Daniel—and behold, two others were standing, one here on the lip of the river, and one here on the lip of the river.

6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “Until when is the end of these wonders?”

7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, and he lifted up his right hand and his left hand to the heavens, and he swore by the One living forever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and with the completing of the shattering of the hand of the people of holiness, all these things will be completed.

8 And I heard, and I did not understand; and I said, “My lord, what is the end of these?”

9 And he said, “Go, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.
