6 And there were six stone jars placed there for the purification of the Jews, which could hold several gallons each. 7 Jesus said to them, Fill the jars with water; and they filled them up to the brim. 8 Then he said to them, Draw out now, and bring it to the chief guest of the feast. And they brought it. 9 And when the chief guest tasted the water that had become wine, he did not know whence it had come; but the helpers knew, who had drawn the water.
