22 Jesus saith to him, "If I wish him to remain till I come, what is it to you? follow Me." 23 This saying, therefore, went forth among the brethren, that that disciple should not die; yet Jesus did not say to him, that he should not die, but, "If I wish him to remain till I come, what is it to you?" 24 This is the disciple who testifies concerning these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true. 25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did; which, indeed, were they written one by one, I suppose that not even the world itself would contain the books that would be written.
