11 now there was a great herd of swine feeding upon the mountain; 12 and all the demons intreated him, saying, "send us to the swine, that we may enter into them." 13 Jesus immediately gave them leave, and the impure spirits quitting the possessed, entred into the swine, and the whole herd, which were about two thousand, ran down a precipice into the sea, and were there stifled.
