1 FALSE scales are an abomination to the LORD; but just weights are his delight. 2 Where baseness comes, then comes shame; but with the meek is wisdom. 3 The hope of the upright shall be granted; but the pride of the wicked shall be destroyed. 4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath; but righteousness delivers from death. 5 The righteousness of the upright shall direct his way; but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. 6 The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them; but the transgressors shall be caught in their own wickedness.
