Jeremiah 45
Reader-Friendly Bible: Purple Letter EditionKJP

1In the fourth year of Jehoiakim, son of Josiah, king of Judah, Jeremiah, the prophet, spoke this word to Baruch, son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a scroll as dictated by Jeremiah: 1 “Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, to you, O Baruch: 3You said, “Woe is me now! For the LORD has added grief to my sorrow. I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest.” 4Baruch, the LORD says this to you: What I have built, I will break down; and what I have planted I will uproot, throughout the whole earth. 5And should you seek great things for yourself? Do not seek them; for I will bring disaster upon all people, but your life will I give to you for a reward, wherever you go.
