Luke 11:3 Give us day by day our daily bread. You cannot separate the external and the internal in life, and therefore you cannot separate Christ and our daily bread. The catechism phrase is, "I desire that God will send us all things that are needful both for our souls and bodies." God's gift to a world calling for bread is not a stone, no dead gift, but the presence of His Son.
