For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh…

1. Unique (ἄπαξ), once for all.

2. Propitiatory. "For sins."

3. Vicarious. The just for the unjust.

4. Effectual. "That He might bring us to God."
