1. That He may manifest His sovereignty.

2. That He may establish a settled order amongst the creatures.

3. Let all men abide in their sphere and calling.

(1)  To testify their obedience to the will of God.

(2)  As God knows what is best for us.

(3)  As assured that God will prosper all who fulfil His purpose concerning them.
