If we would be honest men and Christians indeed, we must "follow the Lord fully." So that it is for our own honour. 2. It is necessary to secure inward peace. 3. Our Lord has in some respects entrusted us with His glory. 4. The love of our neighbour is another motive. 5. Those who "follow the Lord fully" shall possess the good land of promise, of which Canaan was only a type. (T. Hannam.)
