The Christian's Subjection to the Civil Authority Is
Romans 13:3-6
For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Will you then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good…


I. NECESSARY. Because —

1. It is a Divine ordinance.

2. Essential to the general good.

II. OBLIGING.

1. Not only for wrath,

2. But conscience' sake.

III. COMPLETE. Because it is —

1. Willing.

2. Sincere.

3. Conscientious.
