For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

II. ABSOLUTE. He has all power —

1. To determine their conditions.

2. To pardon and save them.

2. To command their service.

3. To decide their eternal lot.

III. UNIVERSAL. It includes the living and the dead.

IV. RIGHTEOUS. It is secured by —

1. His death.

2. His resurrection.
