The Gospel for the Gentiles
Romans 9:30-33
What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness…

I. THEY NEEDED IT.

1. Were without righteousness.

2. Without the knowledge of it.

3. Without the desire for it.

II. IT IS ADAPTED TO THEIR CASE. It reveals —

1. The righteousness of God.

2. Without works.

3. By faith.

4. In Christ.

III. IT HAS BEEN ATTAINED BY MANY.

1. As the free gift of God.

2. As the source of unspeakable happiness.

3. May be attained by all.

(J. Lyth, D.D.)
