Remorse of a Wasted Life
Romans 6:21
What fruit had you then in those things whereof you are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

The following epitaph was written by Lord Byron to the memory of his thirty-third birthday, "Here lies in the eternity of the past, from whence there is no resurrection of the days, whatever there may be for the dust, the thirty-third year of an ill-spent life; which, after a lingering disease of many months, sunk into a lethargy and expired on January 22, 1821, leaving a successor inconsolable for the very loss which occasioned its existence."
