Leviticus 5:1
And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he has seen or known of it; if he do not utter it…


1. Not to conceal, or consent to other men's sins.

2. God's dishonour not to be endured.

3. Confession of our sins unto God necessary (ver. 5). This is the beginning of amendment.

4. Against negligent hearers of the Word (ver. 15).

5. Against sacrilege.

6. To take hold of the sleights and subtle temptations of Satan.

7. To appear before the Lord in sincerity and simplicity of heart.
