A new name (Numbers 6:27; Revelation 3:12). 2. A new nature (2 Peter 1:4). Whom God adopts He anoints; whom He makes sons, He makes saints. 3. A new inheritance (Romans 8:17). When the Danish missionaries in India were translating a catechism, with some of the convetted natives by their side, and when they came to a part where it was said of Christians that they were the sons of God, one of the natives, startled at so bold a saying, as he thought it, said, "It is too much; let us rather translate it: 'They shall be permitted to kiss His feet.'"
