Psalm 146
Smith's Literal Translation Par ▾

Praise the LORD, O My Soul

1Praise ye Jah. Praise Jehovah, O my soul.

2I will praise Jehovah in my life; I will play on the harp to my God in my continuing.

3Ye shall not trust in nobles: in the son of man, to him no salvation.

4His spirit shall go forth, he shall turn back to his earth; in that day his thoughts perished.

5Happy is he the God of Jacob for his help, his hope upon Jehovah his God:

6He made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them: he watched the truth forever.

7He did judgment for the oppressed; he gave bread to the hungering: Jehovah loosed those being bound.

8Jehovah opened the eyes of the blind: Jehovah raised those being bowed down: Jehovah loved the just.

9Jehovah watched the strangers he will restore the orphan and the widow, and he will overturn the way of the unjust.

10Jehovah shall reign forever, thy God, O Zion, to generation and generation. Praise ye Jah.
