the mystery was revealed to Daniel

Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and its meaning had been hidden from Babylon’s wisest men, but God made them known to Daniel. The revelation demonstrated that true wisdom belongs to God alone and that He directs the course of kingdoms.

Daniel received supernatural insight rather than discovering the answer through human skill or inquiry. God entrusted him with knowledge that would preserve the lives of the wise men and reveal His authority before the Babylonian court.

and he blessed the God of heaven

Daniel responded with praise, giving God full credit for the wisdom and power displayed in the revelation. The God of heaven stood above Babylon’s idols, kings, and counselors, ruling over all earthly powers.

1. Daniel
