Yahweh Surrounds His People

1A Song of the Ascents.

1 Those trusting in YHWH are like Mount Zion—

it cannot be shaken; it abides forever.

2Jerusalem, the mountains surround her,

and YHWH surrounds His people,

from now even to forever.

3For the rod of the wicked shall not rest

upon the lot of the righteous,

so that the righteous do not stretch out their hands to injustice.

4Do good, O YHWH, to the good,

and to the upright in their hearts!

5And those turning to their crooked ways,

YHWH will lead them away with the workers of iniquity!
