The Presence of Yahweh
(Acts 2:14–36)

1A Miktam of David.

1 Preserve me, O God,

for I take refuge in You.

2I said to YHWH, “You are my Lord.

My goodness is nothing apart from You.”

3As for the holy ones who are in the land,

they and the excellent ones,

all my delight is in them.

4May their sorrows be multiplied,

those who hurry after another!

I will not pour out their drink offerings of blood,

and I will not lift up their names upon my lips.

5YHWH, is the portion of my share, and my cup;

You are the One upholding my lot.

6The lines have fallen to me in the pleasant places;

indeed, a pleasing inheritance is unto me.

7I will bless YHWH, who counsels me;

even in the nights, my kidneys instruct me.

8I have set YHWH before me continually;

because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

9Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices;

my flesh also will dwell securely.

10For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol,

and You will not give Your Holy one to see corruption.

11You make known to me the path of life;

fullness of joys is with Your face,

pleasant things are at Your right hand forever.
