The Transgression of the Wicked 1For the one directing. Of the servant of YHWH, of David. An utterance 1 Of the transgression of the wicked is within my heart; there is no dread of God before his eyes.† 2For he is flattering to himself in his own eyes, having found his iniquity to be hated. 3The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; he has ceased to be prudent and do good. 4He devises iniquity upon his bed; he stands himself on a path that is not good; 5O YHWH, Your loving devotion is into the heavens, Your faithfulness as far as the clouds. 6Your righteousness is like the mountains of Might, Your ordinances the great deep; You keep safe man and beast, O YHWH. 7How precious is Your loving devotion, O God! Even the sons of man seek refuge under the shadow of Your wings. 8They are filled from the fatness of Your house, and You let them drink from the stream of Your delights. 9For with You is the fountain of life; 10Draw out Your loving devotion to those knowing You, and Your righteousness to the upright of heart. 11Do not let the foot of pride come against me, and the hand of the wicked, do not let it drive me away. 12There the workers of iniquity do fall! They have been cast down, and are not able to rise. Footnotes: 1 Cited in Romans 3:18 Berean Literal Bible This is the first draft of the Berean Literal Bible.
