Delight Yourself in Yahweh 1 You should not fret ove those doing evil, and do not be jealous of the workers of iniquity. 2For like the grass, soon they are cut off, and like the green of the herb they shall wither. 3Trust in YHWH and do good; dwell in the land and graze in faithfulness. 4And delight yourself in YHWH, and He will give to you the desires of your heart. 5Roll upon YHWH your way; trust in Him, and He will act. 6And He will bring forth your righteousness like the dawn, and your justice like the noonday sun. 7Be still before YHWH, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret over the one succeeding in his path, 8Cease from anger, and leave behind wrath; you should not burn—it only causes harm. 9For those doing evil will be cut off, and those waiting on YHWH, they will inherit the land. 10And in yet a little while, the wicked man is no more; and you will look for his place, and it is no more. 11And the meek will inherit the land,† and they will delight in the abundance of peace. 12The wicked man is plotting against the righteous one and is gnashing his teeth at him. 13The Lord laughs at him, for He sees that his day is coming. 14The wicked have drawn out the sword and have bent their bows, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay those upright in the path. 15Their sword will come into their own heart, and their bows will be broken. 16Better is the little of the righteous, than the riches of many wicked. 17For the arms of the wicked will be broken, and YHWH upholds the righteous. 18YHWH Knows the days of the blameless, and their inheritance will be forever. 19They will not be ashamed in a time of evil, and in days of famine they will be satisfied. 20But the wicked will perish, and the enemies of YHWH; like the splendor of the meadows they will be consumed, and with the smoke they will be consumed. 21The wicked borrows and does not repay, and the righteous one is gracious and giving. 22For those being blessed by Him will inherit the land, and those being cursed by Him will be cut off. 23By YHWH the steps of a man are established, 24Though he falls, he will not be cast down, for YHWH is upholding his hand.† 25I have been young, and I am old; and I have not seen the righteous forsaken, 26All the day, he is gracious and lending, 27Turn away from evil and do good, 28For YHWH loves justice, and He will not forsake His holy ones; forever they are preserved, and the seed of the wicked will be cut off. 29The righteous will inherit the land, and they will dwell forever in it. 30The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice. 31The law of his God is in his heart; 32The wicked is keeping watch on the righteous, and he is seeking to kill him. 33YHWH will not leave him in his hand, and will not declare him wicked in his being judged. 34Wait on YHWH and keep His way, and He will exalt you so as to possess the land; in the cutting off of the wicked, 35I have seen a wicked, ruthless one spread out like a luxuriant native tree. 36And he passed away, and behold, he was no more; and indeed I sought him, and he could not be found. 37Observe a blameless one, and see an upright one, for the end of the man is well-being.† 38But those transgressing will be destroyed together; the end for the wicked man is cut off. 39And the salvation of the righteous is from YHWH; He is their stronghold in time of distress. 40And YHWH helps them and rescues them; He shall rescue them from the wicked and save them, because they have taken refuge in Him.
