Praise Awaits God in Zion

1For the one directing. A Psalm of David. A Song.

1 To You praise is waiting, O God, in Zion,

and to You the vow will be fulfilled.

2O Hearer of prayer,

to You all flesh will come.

3Matters of iniquities prevail against me—

our transgressions, You wipe them away!

4Blessed is the one You choose

and bring near, that he may dwell in Your courts;

we will be satisfied with the goodness of Your house,

the holiness of Your temple.

5With fearsome things, may You answer us in righteousness,

O God of our salvation,

the confidence for all the farthest ends

of the earth and the sea,

6the One establishing the mountains by His strength,

being girded with might,

7stilling the roaring of the seas,

the roar of their waves,

and the uproar of the peoples.

8And those dwelling at the ends were afraid of Your signs;

the goings forth of morning and evening You cause to sing.

9You attend to the earth and give it abundance;

greatly You enrich it;

the stream of God is full of water;

You provide their grain when thus You prepare it

10soaking its furrows, descending on its ridges;

with showers You soften it;

its springing up You bless.

11You crown the year with Your goodness,

and Your tracks drip with fatness.

12They drip on the pastures of the wilderness,

and the hills are surrounded with joy.

13The meadows are clothed with the flock,

and the valleys are feeble with grain—

they shout for joy

and even sing.

Footnotes:

8 Or where morning dawns and evening fades You call forth songs of joy.
9 Or and make it overflow
9 Or You prepare our grain by providing for it
